## ONE-ON-ONE CERAMICS CONSULTATIONS **So many questions. So much to learn.** Have you been making ceramics at home and found yourself a little lost when it comes to clay bodies, glazes, firing temperatures or a particular technique? You’re definitely not alone. Ceramics is one of those practices where the more you learn, the more you realise there is to know. I’ve been working with clay and teaching ceramics for many years, and I’m still learning every time I step into the studio. My students bring in things they’ve researched, we troubleshoot unexpected results, test ideas and continually learn from each other. It really is an endless practice — fascinating, frustrating and occasionally enough to make your head explode! If you have a list of pottery questions and would like some dedicated time to work through them, you can book a one-on-one consultation with either myself or my highly knowledgeable studio assistant, Eliza. Your consultation can cover areas such as clay bodies, glazing and glaze faults, firing temperatures, kiln processes, materials, surface treatments, making techniques, studio processes, or simply those persistent pottery questions you haven’t been able to find a clear answer to. Before your appointment, you’re welcome to email through a list of topics or questions you’d particularly like to discuss. Or, if you prefer, we can keep things informal and work through your questions together on the day. **Please note:** This is a discussion-based consultation rather than a hands-on pottery class. Bring a notebook, photos of your work or firing results, glaze recipes, test tiles or anything else that may help us understand what’s happening in your practice. Sometimes you don’t need another class — you just need someone experienced to sit down with you, talk it through and help make sense of it all.
