Firing Service

Service Description

Drop off your bisque, earthenware, midfire or stoneware for easy firing. Please note your clay temperature and glaze temperatures. Please take care to clean the underside of your work properly, biscuits will be needed for BRT or new glazes. All glazes must be stable. Extra fees will be charged for damages shelves. Unload your work onto designated shelf. We fire it to the required temperature. We contact you when it's ready. Weigh your own work on our scales and the job is done. Firing Policy * We take all care and no responsibility for loss or damage and reserve the right to refuse work that we feel may damage our kilns or other work. * We only fire full kilns, if we do not have enough to fill a kiln we ask you to wait or you can hire out a whole kiln for a fee, please contact us for these costs. * We will need to know exactly what firing temperature your clay and glazes fire to so please be ready with this information. * We do not 'once fire' work. * Please ensure the base and 5mm from the base is free from glaze. * Please ensure you have clearly marked your work, you have counted and logged it in the firing register. It is a good idea to take photos of your work. * We are unable to keep work for longer than 2 weeks after you have been contacted to pick up your work. Please make sure you organise someone to pick up or it will be disposed of. * We can store for a small fee. * You will be liable for any damage your work causes to our kilns and / or shelves; you are liable for replacement costs.
