Wheel Taster - Throwing and Turning Feet

Learn the basics on the pottery wheel from preparing clay, learning to center and turning the foot of your piece.  A great little toe dip into throwing and turning focusing on process, learning and getting your foundation skills right. We will then fire and glaze your work.  You can also book a glaze session on a Saturday morning for $35 and learn how to glaze your piece with a range of glazes.

OR

You can pick 3 pieces to be fired with a simple white glaze.

Please Note: FIRING IS NOT INCLUDED and is charged at $12 per kg  on Pickup of work.

New students will be focusing on 

Week 1 - May 21 - Practice, practice, practice.  Learning the basics, making cylinders.

Week 2 -  - Turning bowls (altering bases) and some finessing of previous work

PLEASE NOTE there is a 2-week gap between weeks 1 & 2.

With only 8 students per class, it is perfect to hone your skills and get the basics right. 

PLEASE BOOK WISELY!  I will be unable to refund any cancellations, you can transfer your ticket to a friend.  To avoid disappointment please do not ask for a refund, please understand that a facilitator is being paid with other outgoings and numbers (your booked spot) are required to keep my little business afloat.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to the event?

The studio is located at Shed 4/39 Smithton Grove, Ocean Grove

Please park on Smithton Grove as the studio parking is not available.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please bring a towel, apron, and a dust mask.

Comfortable clothing, closed shoes.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Please book wisely, cancellations will forfeit the fee paid (classes a reliant on numbers to proceed) and if your spot can't be filled I cannot refund money paid.

If you are unable to attend a class we are unable to refund you for the missed class, we are unable to offer makeup classes at this stage due to our restricted numbers in all our classes.
