Makers in the Making Term 3

Ages 8 and Up

A fabulous class with fresh and fun projects for your child to start their clay journey. Makers in the making will learn with our awesome facilitator Daniela Zimmermann a creative and local ceramicist.

Time to step away from technology and discover the joy and versatility of clay, this will become an important part of learning switch off, where muddy hands are grounding. The class wil focus on developing fine motor skills, self expression and the ability to problem solve, where participants will grow creatively and enjoy the journey that clay can offer. Clay has some magical characteristics, it can take us away from the everyday, when we touch clay we become lost in the moment, all else slips away, a great way for your child to experience the quiet importance of mindfulness. This class is not nescessarly about the outcome but the creative freedom of the journey.

Cost includes all clay, glaze and firing.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Studio is located at Shed 4/39 Smithton Grove, Ocean Grove

Please park on Smithton Grove as the studio parking is not availble.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please bring a towel, apron, dust mask and journal.

Comfortable clothing,closed shoes.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Cancellations will forfeit fee paid (classes a reliant on numbers to proceed) and if your spot can't be filled I cannot refund money paid.

Make up classes can be booked into an alternative night during the current working block, classes may not be booked for the following term.
