Course Description

Building on the foundational skills from "Foundation Ceramics" (wheel or hand building) this Intermediate Ceramics course is designed for those who have completed the introductory 6-week program and are ready to dive deeper into the world of ceramics. This course encourages students to explore a variety of techniques and forms, offering both guided projects and the freedom to pursue individual artistic interests.

The first project will focus on surface exploration, where students will experiment with slips, oxides, and studio glazes on various vessel forms to refine their understanding of surface and form. Throughout the course, students will engage in peer learning and constructive critiques to further develop their unique styles and aesthetics.
