About the event
Learn the basics on the pottery wheel from preparing clay, learning to center and glazing your pieces. This is a structured 6-week course, specifically targeted at learning at your pace, clay is not a medium to be rushed it takes time and lots of practice. You will focus on correct skill development, this class is not about the quantity of pieces you come out with, we focus on quality and learning.
Return students will be finessing and extending their skills and will be given direction to extend on skills.
Initial 6 week block will focus on cylinders, cups/handles and bowls.
FIRING is not included, Bisque & glaze firing is charged at $12 per Kg on pickup of work.
New students will be focusing on
Week 1 - April 28 - Practice, practice, practice. We do not keep anything made from this class.
