About the event
If you have completed 'Ceramics for Newbies' this is the class for you. You can only book this class if you have completed the initial 6 week course for newbies. Select from a series of projects functional or sculptural or engage in your own project. This is a time to explore and extend on techniques you have learn't so far.
Your first project will be an exporation of surface and surface techniques. We will use slips, oxides and studio glazes, these surfaces can then be transferred to a series of vessal forms to get the best understand of what works. Surface and form will be an ongoing focus for these classes.
We untilise peer learning and constructive critiquing of works so you can dvelop your own work and aesthetic.
You will have a storage box to keep clay and tools and shelf storage for your work.
Firing is $10 per Kg
You can purchase clay from the studio to use, this gives you the opportunity to try different clays and learning to recycle your clay and be responsible for your enviromental foot print.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Studio is located at Shed 4/39 Smithton Grove, Ocean Grove
Please park on Smithton Grove as the studio parking is not availble.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring a towel, apron, dust mask and journal.
Comfortable clothing,closed shoes.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Cancellations will forfeit fee paid (classes a reliant on numbers to proceed) and if your spot can't be filled I cannot refund money paid.
Make up classes can be booked into an alternative night during the current working block, classes may not be booked for the following term.
Access to all glazes, underglazes and equipment.
