About the event

Be My Keeper Studio continues to indulge studenst with a great mix of clays, techiniques and glazes, you will find it's  one of the more generous courses without any extra costs.

 Enjoy 6 weeks learning the basics in a fully equipped studio, classes include learning techniques such as hand building including pinch pots, coil vessels, sculpture, slab, wheel and surface decoration. Participants can explore a range of methods or focus on their own particular interests, classes are blended to capitalise on both functional and non-functional projects. 

Get connected with like minded creatives, fall in love with clay in a fun and informal setting!

Week 1- Pinch Pots

Week 2- Coil Pots

Week 3-Slab platters

Week 4- Wheel

Week 5- Turning Feet/Completing previous work

Week 6- Glazing

If you are a return student your projects will be an extension of what you learn 't in the the first 6 weeks.  You will be offered a choice of projects to work to guided by both the facilitator and your own research using drawing and journal work.   

Class will not run on the Oct 30th or Nov 1st for Bellarine Arts Trail and Melbourne Cup long weekend.

PLEASE BOOK WISELY!  I will be unable to refund any cancellations, you can transfer your ticket to a friend.  To avoid disappointment please do not ask for a refund, please understand that a facilitator is being paid with other outgoings and numbers (your booked spot) is required to keep my little business afloat.

Your Obligations

You may need to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing rules that are in place at the time of classes.

You will need to thoroughly clean and sanitise your work station and any tools used.

You will be unable to enter if you are unwell.

You will need to bring in your own food and drinks for tea break.

You will need your Vaccination Certificate to enter the studio.

FAQs 

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Studio is located at Shed 4/39 Smithton Grove, Ocean Grove

Please park on Smithton Grove as the studio parking is not available.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please bring a towel, apron, dust mask.

Comfortable clothing, closed shoes.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Please book wisely, cancellations will forfeit fee paid (classes a reliant on numbers to proceed) and if your spot can't be filled I cannot refund money paid.

If you are unable to attend a class we are unable to refund for the missed class, we are unable to offer makeup classes at this stage due to our restricted numbers in all our classes.
